We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Poundland & Dealz. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of month-end management accounts and providing financial insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare month-end schedules, accruals, and prepayments for head office cost centres, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Drive efficiency in financial processes through continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of reports for stakeholders, focusing on cost control and performance improvement.
- Support the completion of VAT and Corporation Tax returns, ensuring timely submission.
- Approve purchase orders in line with company policy, ensuring accurate coding and meaningful descriptions.
- Advantageous but not essential to be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- Ideal experience with Oracle.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
