Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of the month-end management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of month-end schedules, accruals, and prepayments for head office cost centres, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Drive efficiency of financial processes through continuous improvement and identification of opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of reports used by stakeholders across the business, focusing on cost control and driving company performance.
- Production of Office of National Statistics submissions and other external surveys.
- Support with the completion of VAT and Corporation Tax returns, ensuring timely submission.
- Approve purchase orders in line with company policy, ensuring accurate coding and meaningful descriptions.
- Ad hoc support of other tasks, including audit.
- Advantageous but not essential to be part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
- Ideal experience working with Oracle.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to provide real added value, insight, and interpretation into the numbers reported.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with Finance team members and stakeholders.
- Understanding and empathy for the challenges of front-line operations, providing assistance and support to benefit the business.
