Digital Systems Validation Specialist

At Chipright, we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Systems Validation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the specification, design, and implementation of FPGA-based system emulation platforms for mixed-signal architectures.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage FPGA emulation systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Design and develop custom PCBs to support FPGA-based HW emulation.
- Prototype and debug mixed-signal designs on FPGAs.
- Develop verification IP for use in the emulation of mixed-signal architectures, encompassing analog, digital, and firmware functions, as well as evaluation and benchmarking of full system performance.
- Develop lab automation, including the control of instruments to ensure repeatability of bench-level regression test results, with automated data collection and test-case scoring.
- Collaborate with analog designers, digital designers, systems architecture, firmware, applications, and test engineering teams to specify, design, develop, and manage a verification system for complex FPGA emulation platforms.
- Perform bench characterization on VRTT systems to verify system performance.
- Verify FPGA and silicon digital protocol interfaces for spec compliance (SVID, VR1x, SMBus).
- Work closely with test and application engineering teams to develop evaluation PCBs and hardware required for validation and testing of silicon.
- Track and report progress of projects against key milestones.
- Foster a collaborative environment where effective communication and learning are valued.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- 2+ years of people management experience with a design team.
- Expertise in User Experience, Product Design, and Product Management.
- Experience with full-product verification flows, including HW, SW, FW, etc.
- Knowledge of power conversion and embedded systems.
- Experience with IC verification and methodologies for automotive markets.
- Knowledge of ISO26262.
- Ability to work in wide-ranging roles and flexible environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support less experienced team members.
