Job Title: Senior Pathway Validator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pathway Validator to join our Operational Performance team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The Senior Pathway Validator will play a key role in supporting the Operational Performance/RTT Pathways/Compliance Manager in the day-to-day management of the RTT Validation/Operational Performance & Compliance Team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Validating patient treatment pathways using hospital systems such as Oceano, Concerto, PICS, ERHA, and Clinical Portal to identify treatment stages that represent "clock starts" and "clock stops" according to the 18-week guidance and Trust Access Policy.
  2. Supporting the Operational Performance Team Leaders in the day-to-day management of co-ordinators.
  3. Acting as a first line of support for queries and training required across the team of Co-ordinators.
  4. Participating in the induction and training of all new members of staff.
  5. Responsible for providing training in own activities to new/less experienced staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in an acute Trust.
  • In-depth understanding of RTT, validation, and pathway management.
  • Experience of applying the Trust's access policy in line with 18-week National Guidelines.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ability to apply the principles in everyday working practice.
  • Experience of dealing with the public/customer service experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems (i.e., Office, Excel, Word).
  • Experience of training/mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Experience of management of staff.
  • Good knowledge of NHS IT systems.
  • Knowledge of Operational targets.
