Maintenance Engineer

Ensinger GmbH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Bridgwater, Somerset location. As a key member of our Production department, you will be responsible for conducting proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs for all machines within our Ensinger Machined Parts (EMP) business unit.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance of machines, including upkeep, servicing, and repairs.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks in accordance with legislation and policy, and record findings.
  • Coordinate contractors on site as needed, issuing and recording permits to work.
  • Respond to and record findings of regular safety checks to prevent machine failure or performance deterioration.
  • Ensure safety is adhered to at all times, and liaise with the Production Manager as needed.
  • Perform general site servicing and housekeeping.
  • Advise others of safety matters that arise.
  • SOURCE AND ORDER MACHINE SPARES AND MAINTENANCE SUPPLIES.
  • Understand drawings and machine manuals.
  • Comply with all reasonable requests made by the Production Manager.
  • Observe and comply with Company Health and Safety policy.
  • Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping at all times.

Requirements:

  • Background in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
  • Electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read drawings and understand manuals.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Fast-paced and proactive.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to work additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to logically fault find.
