Job DescriptionWorking Pattern: 5 over 7, 07:00am to 15:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
The successful candidate will work closely with the team to create seasonal food and drink menus for the site and any events for the client and its visitors. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers, ensuring that the team's creations meet the client's needs and legal requirements are met daily.
- Being responsible for training team members on menus, serving procedures, company etiquette, safety standards, and regulations.
- Adhering to budgets when planning catering operations, allocating resources for food, cooking equipment, staffing, and equipment.
- Establishing relationships with vendors to ensure the best prices are obtained for food and other supplies.
We are looking for someone with experience in Contract Catering operations and teams, holding a Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent, and unit management experience within the Contract Catering sector.
Prior leadership skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of chefs, are essential. Experience in building relationships with clients and staff, ensuring client expectations are met every day, is crucial.
The ideal candidate must have the Right to Work in the UK, be prepared to undergo a DBS or Enhanced Security check, and possess excellent customer service skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in Contract Catering operations and teams.
- Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
- Unit management experience within the Contract Catering sector.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- NVQ Level 3, Higher National Certificate (HNC), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality is beneficial.
