About the Role:

  • Conducting comprehensive developmental histories for children undergoing autism assessments aged 5-18.
  • Performing standalone ADHD assessments for children and adolescents.
  • Observing children during sessions and ensuring questions are asked in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
  • Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback to families including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
  • Requesting onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.

Clinics:

We offer flexible working days Monday to Sunday, accommodating your schedule. Up to four appointments per day, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35). Face-to-face work in Basingstoke, Hampshire (free on-site parking) is available. Other options such as remote and hybrid arrangements can be considered depending on your location.

Requirements:

  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred, but not essential.
  • Expertise and confidence in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments and/or ADHD assessments for children and young people.
  • Pasisonate about delivering clinical excellence for every child and young person.
