Mechanical Inspector Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products through your advanced knowledge and specialized experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough inspections of work received from goods in using standard inspection tools, including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMM machines.
  2. Effectively manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and liaise with sub-contractors to ensure timely resolution.
  3. Manage stock, material consumption, and processes on internal business systems to optimize efficiency.
  4. Contribute to the company's goal of achieving zero defects in accordance with ISO 9001 certified quality management systems requirements.
  5. Lead and deliver inspection activities, ensuring parts are delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification, and in a cost-effective manner.
  6. Coordinate work with colleagues, facilitating the work and activities of others, and ensuring seamless project execution.
  7. Efficiently book stock in and prepare for sub-con shipments to meet customer demands.
Requirements:
  1. Strong manual inspection background and proficiency in using a wide range of metrology bench equipment.
  2. Clear understanding and knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  3. Experience in the use and operation of CMM machines.
  4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  5. Familiarity with ISO standards, including 9001 and 14001.
  6. Excellent attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards and efficiency.
