Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a Residential Care setting in Leicester. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained in line with Ofsted regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. SUPERVISE AND MENTOR STAFF
  2. MANAGE SHIFT PATTERNS AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL RELEVANT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  3. ENSURE PLACEMENT PLANS AND RISK ASSESSMENTS ARE UP-TO-DATE AND MEET THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF EACH CHILD
  4. BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUNG PEOPLE, EMPOWERING THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL AND SAFEGUARD THEIR WELFARE
  5. ASSIST WITH ADMISSIONS, DISCHARGES, AND DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS, DEPUTIZING IN THE MANAGER'S ABSENCE

Requirements:

  • LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN RESIDENTIAL CHILD CARE (OR EQUIVALENT)
  • CLEAN, VALID DRIVING LICENSE
  • AWARENESS OF OFSTED QUALITY STANDARDS AND SAFEGUARDING PRACTICES
  • PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN RESIDENTIAL CARE AND TEAM MANAGEMENT
