We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our team across three Inverness practices.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will oversee nurse consultations, theatre nursing, and inpatient care.
  • You will be responsible for managing a team of veterinary care assistants and a dispensary assistant.

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the nursing department.

Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and mentor veterinary care assistants to ensure optimal utilisation of resources and adherence to best practices.
  2. Oversee rota management, holiday scheduling, and performance appraisals for nursing staff.
  3. Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, in line with regulatory requirements.
  4. Facilitate regular team meetings and training sessions to promote collaboration and professional development.
  5. Manage inventory and stock control processes, liaising with suppliers as necessary to ensure adequate supplies.
  6. Implement and monitor improvements in working practices to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
