About Mission Aviation Fellowship UK
Mission Aviation Fellowship UK (MAF) is a leading humanitarian air operator with a rich history of providing emergency relief, long-term development, and Christian hope to remote communities around the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Support Officer to join our high-performing team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in shaping our communications strategy and creating engaging content that inspires our supporters and takes our message to new audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist our Production Manager with mailing specifications, collating internal information, creating purchase orders, and undertaking administration.
- Support our Media Manager by arranging regional coverage for overseas staff in the UK, and providing administrative, planning, and organisational support to the Head of Communications.
- Contribute to digital comms, including our website content and social media, and assist in creating monthly print and digital communication documents.
- Monitor staff blogs and external websites for news and research, and upload and remove media assets, support staff in using the media library and seek to improve it.
- Administer and curate the archive of MAF documents, collect and store data processing consent forms, and contribute to the development of our communications strategy.
Requirements
- A degree-level qualification or experience of working in an office environment gained through direct work experience or work placements.
- Experience of team working, proficiency in social media, and proficient skills in Microsoft applications, including Excel.
- The ability to communicate positively, assertively, and sensitively within a cross-functional and multi-cultural team environment, internally and externally.
- An efficient and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, and flexibility to respond quickly to changing or competing priorities.
- To be able to work on your own initiative, with excellent attention to detail.
About You
We are looking for a committed evangelical Christian who can demonstrate understanding and acceptance of the Statement of Faith and is willing to take part in MAF events and meetings.
What We Offer
- A salary of £28,000 per annum.
- Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year plus 8 paid public holidays per year.
- A non-contributory pension scheme (10% of salary), employees may make voluntary additional contributions.
