Job Description:
This role offers a unique combination of working at the hospice and providing specialist care to children in the community. As a Paediatric Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality patient care in The Ark, children's homes, or the community
- Planning and reviewing care with parents, children, and young people to ensure safety
- Acting as an advocate for the child and their family
- Ensuring fun, sensitivity, compassion, and confidentiality in all care provided
- FOLLOWING SAFEGUARDING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
- Administering medications according to policies and procedures
- Maintaining nutritional status and clinical skills necessary for holistic care
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch) qualification
- Relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level
- Experience in palliative care or nursing children with life-limiting conditions
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
