Job Summary:

FT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join one of the UK's leading recycling and waste management companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all maintenance-related activities, ensuring they are carried out in line with the company's Maintenance Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the maintenance team to ensure the company meets agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  2. Conduct risk assessments and create work-based method statements to ensure maintenance health and safety standards are met and compliant with relevant legislation.
  3. Manage maintenance stock management, including allocation, issuing, and replenishment of stock, to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  4. Assist the management team in ensuring full compliance with relevant legislations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, and the company's accreditation to recognized integrated management systems (ISOs) and environmental standards.
  5. Monitor staff attendance, including clocking, lateness, and performance issues, and report to the Operations Manager.
  6. Manage the supervision and support of both night and weekend shifts, ensuring consistency throughout.
  7. Undertake any other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization, in line with training and capabilities.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of managing a maintenance team across multiple shifts.
  2. Previous experience of working in a fast-moving maintenance environment.
  3. PLC maintenance and fault-finding experience.
  4. Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and other computer-based programs.
