Aerospace Procurement Opportunity

Are you interested in working at the business end of the Aerospace industry, where airline brands meet innovative passenger experiences?

Safran Seats, an industry award-winning premium designer and manufacturer of First and Business Class seating and technology, is looking for a Strategic Buyer to join their team. This role will support a fast-paced business that designs, certifies, and manufactures aircraft seating of the highest quality and passenger-focused excellence.

The Strategic Buyer will have supplier and programme-facing activities, including commercial negotiations and supplier performance objectives such as quality, cost, and delivery. Key Responsibilities will include:
•Issuing and monitoring RFPs to suppliers using available engineering data.
•Reviewing and selecting suppliers based on proposals/quotations received.
•Setting up supplier data within the business ERP system.
•Using MRP data to raise necessary POs and working with a predetermined number of suppliers to ensure that materials ordered are delivered on time, in full, and to the correct quality standards.
•Developing relationships with suppliers.
•Managing purchasing projects such as the industrialisation of new products that include but are not limited to composite, metallic, and electrical components.
•Managing supplier Long Term Agreements.

Requirements

Candidates should have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the Aerospace industry is desirable, but not essential.
