We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE Religious Studies assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the timely delivery of assessments and maintain high standards of quality assurance.
- Lead and participate in standardisation and moderation activities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the GCSE Religious Studies specification and assessment criteria.
- Provide training and support to examiners and moderators to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality assessments.
- Monitor and report on assessment performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the assessment team to develop and implement new assessment strategies and procedures.
- Experience in quality assurance and assessment practice, with a strong understanding of GCSE Religious Studies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to provide training and support to others, with a focus on quality assurance and assessment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality assessments.
