GCSE Religious Studies Examiner

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team of assessment specialists. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE Religious Studies assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the timely delivery of assessments and maintain high standards of quality assurance.
- Lead standardisation and moderation activities, ensuring that examiners are trained and equipped to deliver high-quality assessments.
- Develop and maintain mark schemes, guidance, and other assessment materials.
- Collaborate with the assessment team to ensure that assessments are aligned with the specification and meet the needs of learners.
- Provide support and guidance to examiners, moderators, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on assessment performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Experience in quality assurance and assessment practice, with a strong understanding of GCSE Religious Studies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- High level of IT proficiency, with experience of using assessment software and systems.
