Role Overview

This role requires a Senior Marine Consultant to support the management of environmental inputs across a diverse range of marine projects. The successful candidate will coordinate the production of EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments/Environmental Statements, and supporting assessments and documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Make effective use of project management skills to support the management of resources and budgets.
  • Collaboration: Work as part of an integrated team to improve the environmental outcomes of our projects, identifying environmental constraints, impact avoidance and mitigation solutions, and opportunities to deliver benefits.
  • Client Contact: Support senior staff in managing client relationships, internal teams, and subcontractors.
  • Growth: Promote AECOM's environmental services to both internal and external audiences, identifying and leading business development opportunities and associated fee and technical proposal development.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a comprehensive EIA consultancy experience, proven skills in managing the preparation of environmental reports, and the technical review of specialist chapters. You should also have a suitable understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes around the UK, knowledge of Ireland's marine consenting regime being desirable.

Requirements
  • EIA Experience: Comprehensive EIA consultancy experience with proven skills in managing the preparation of environmental reports.
  • Project Management Skills: Effective project management skills, including programming, staff resource, and budget management.
  • Communication Skills: Efficient verbal and report writing skills, including technical reviewing, and confidence when engaging with a wide variety of stakeholder groups.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work closely with colleagues and provide bespoke advice to clients.

A salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience and qualifications. This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
