Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the surgical team in providing quality patient care, working closely with the operating surgeon and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth procedure execution. Key responsibilities include patient preparation and positioning, maintenance of aseptic techniques, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Must be registered and licensed with the Virginia Board of Medicine as a Surgical Assistant.
- Certified First Surgical Assistant with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA) is preferred.
- AHA BLS CPR provider certification is also required.
