Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team as an apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations, performing planned preventative maintenance to maximise plant reliability, and undertaking planned and emergency repairs safely and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough fault finding and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
- Undertake repairs and maintenance work in a safe and timely manner, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements for engineering activities.
- Collaborate with contractors and other teams to ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operations.
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with flexibility required to meet business needs.
Qualifications and Experience:- Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with H&S systems and CMMS systems is a plus, with training provided.
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet business needs.

Circa 42K per annum, bonus scheme based on business performance, personal pension plan, 22 days holiday per annum plus public holidays, cycle to work scheme, and free staff car park.
