About the Role

As Matron for Antenatal Service Leadership, you will be responsible for leading our antenatal services across multiple sites, working closely with the lead consultant for antenatal care to improve our services and create a seamless patient journey.

Main Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working in partnership with the community matron to ensure a smooth patient journey
  • Working with the MNVP to co-produce patient pathways
  • Leading disciplinary investigations and preparing and presenting management cases when necessary
  • Responding to and managing safeguarding issues, assessing Mental Capacity, and applying DOLS frameworks
  • Managing challenging patient, staff, and visitor behaviour
  • Identifying, managing, and resolving patient safety issues and trends
  • Working closely with the CDG finance and business teams to develop innovative methods of income generation, financial control, and strategic planning
