About the role:


As a key member of the events team at Jisc, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our highly successful events across a wide range of specialities and subject matters.


You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and the wider marcomms team to ensure our events (both physical and online) are delivered to a high standard, showcasing how Jisc supports our members in HE, FE and research.


We are looking for a skilled individual who can generate innovative solutions to challenges and make sound decisions fast, whilst working in a high-paced, high-pressure environment.


You will also be passionate about finding new and exciting ways to constantly improve the events that Jisc delivers.


The role will involve attending weekly meetings at the Bristol office and organising other events as needed, with flexibility to work from home.


Please note that you must be happy to travel, including overnight stays for on-site support at UK-based events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand the aims and objectives of each event and the support required for delivery.
  • Provide administration support.
  • Set up and provide on-the-day support for Jisc's online events held on Zoom.
  • Manage the events calendar and handle all enquiries into the events inbox.
  • Create and manage delegate registration forms and post-event surveys.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience of supporting the delivery of live and online events.
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Confident communication skills at all levels, including with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt plans quickly when faced with challenges or obstacles.
