About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner-Contractor Driver to join our team at Menzies Distribution Limited. As a self-employed driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our customers safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-load your vehicle safely and within legislation
  • Deliver goods to our customers safely, efficiently, and on time
  • Ensure security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit to customer
  • Uplift previous days' orders
  • Complete all documentation as per company procedure
  • Break down, allocate, and load inbound supplies
  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy
  • Adhere to company procedures and policies

Requirements:

  1. Full UK driving Licence (No more than 6 points) - Held licence for at least 2 years.
  2. Be over 21 years of age.
  3. No previous disqualifications NI, DD, or DR.
  4. Solid local geographical knowledge of commercial addresses and streets.
  5. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving and warehouse role.
  6. Hardworking, positive, and a flexible attitude to work.
  7. Undergo a background check/drug & alcohol test if successful.

What We Offer:

As an Owner-Contractor Driver with Menzies Distribution Limited, you will have the opportunity to work with a reputable company that values its drivers and provides a safe and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for your own vehicle and insurances, but we will provide you with a competitive rate per mile and the opportunity to work with a variety of customers.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role will be £850-£1200 per week, depending on mileage, route, and hours worked.
