Job Title: Lead Delivery Driver

At b-spokes Deliveries, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of drivers, coordinating daily delivery operations, and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of parcels across designated routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance.
  • Route Management: Plan and optimise delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Customer Interaction: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any inquiries or issues that may arise during deliveries.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among Drivers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track delivery performance metrics, providing feedback and support to drivers to achieve targets and improve service quality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar delivery driver role.
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring other delivery drivers.
  • Strong knowledge of delivery processes, time management, and certain geographical areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and mentor new drivers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and solve problems on the go.
