About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Technical Lead to join our team at Square One Resources. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Android applications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring that they meet the required technical and business standards.
  3. Code Quality and Maintenance: Ensure that all code is of high quality, maintainable, and follows best practices, participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  4. Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure high code quality, identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
  5. Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with the design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, mentor and support the personal growth of other colleagues, encouraging efficiency in their roles.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong experience with Kotlin and Java, familiarity with automated testing capabilities and approaches, understanding of Android app performance dimensions and tools, and proficient understanding of version control tools such as Git.
  3. Experience: Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages with performance in mind.
  4. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking, solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. CI/CD Automation: Some experience with CI/CD automation.
  2. Cryptography: Familiarity with cryptography.
  3. React Native and/or Expo: Prior experience with React Native and/or Expo.
