High Yield Debt Capital Markets Specialist

ING's High Yield Debt Capital Markets Group is a key player in the Global Capital Markets Department, responsible for originating, structuring, and executing non-investment grade debt issues. The team works closely with relationship managers, sector bankers, and other product specialists to advise on capital structures and funding opportunities for non-investment grade corporate issuers, projects, or event-driven situations.
Core Role Tasks and Responsibilities- Liaise with ING counterparts to identify new opportunities and educate them on the product and current market environment.
- Prepare pitches for potential clients, including the identification of relevant comps and appropriate capital structures.
- Provide general client coverage and marketing, selling ING's knowledge and capabilities in the market and the product.
- Structure transactions, including identifying the right capital structure and establishing a covenant package in accordance with market expectations.
- Manage transactions, including drafting of Offering Circulars, executing business due diligence, and preparing and participating in roadshows.
- Oversee and review the work of more junior team members.
- Take responsibility for the preparation of all relevant transaction files.
Essential qualifications include a minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree and at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced Leveraged Finance role within capital markets and/or origination-oriented roles. Desirable qualifications include CFA Level 1 certification and European language skills.
