Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on promoting health and independence under direct and indirect supervision.

They will work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.

The Nursing Associate in this post will carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a registered nurse.

The successful candidate will adhere to the professional standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To work alongside Registered Nurses on Ward 9 stroke unit.
  2. To deliver care and to guide patients during their stay on the unit.
  3. To administer medicines within professional limitations and competence set by the professional bodies.
  4. Contribute to the holistic assessment and management of patients' care needs.
  5. To deliver evidence-based care.
  6. To identify and plan preventative measures and anticipatory care needs in discussion with registered nursing staff.
