Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Zenith Freight is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team in the St. Helens area. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from our Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Complete daily walk-around checks on trucks/trailers and notify the manager of any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations.
  • Keep in contact with the Transport Manager regarding delays and issues with vehicles and routes.
  • Help develop new and better practices for the driver team by providing feedback.
  • Keep trucks clean and tidy inside and out.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driving License with category C+E (HGV class 1).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience required.
  • Hold a UK Driver DQC (Blue Card) - Drivers CPC.
  • Have 35hrs of Driver Professional Competence.
  • Have a Digital Tachograph / Smart Chip Card.
  • Be able to speak and read English satisfactorily.
  • Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on Driver's License (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements).
