Yodel is seeking a proactive and dedicated Account Manager to join our fast-paced Commercial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term client relationships, delivering set monthly targets for volume, revenue, and profitability, and ensuring client retention from a defined portfolio of Yodel clients.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the single point of contact for a defined number of Yodel accounts, developing customer relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement a robust contact strategy in an efficient manner, meeting business requirements and KPIs.
- Use internal relationships to deal with customer complaints, enquiries, or concerns promptly.
- Retain commercial ownership of clients, acting as an escalation and support function to Credit Control, Finance, and wider Operational Teams.
- Recognize opportunities for business growth within the customer base.
- Actively uncover commercial opportunities and sell the value of Yodel services to win new clients.
- Ensure all volume growth is within the service capabilities, credit control demands, commercial boundaries, and on-boarding framework.
- Focus on delivering a positive experience that leads to excellent Client NPS scores.
- Ensure all relationships trade to their agreed profile and deliver the contribution and profile agreed at commencement of Agreement.
- Ensure 100% compliance of all activities with the core CRM system, Salesforce.com, and timely performance reporting and sales forecasting.
- Manage personal development through participation in professional and skills training.

- Manage and control pricing in line with authorized process.
- Deliver portfolio budget volume and profit.
- Develop a strong working relationship within all accounts, with confidence to communicate up to senior level both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the client's product, marketplace, volumes, and seasonality.
- Have at least 1 year's relevant experience in account management, preferably with outbound calling.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering against sales targets and tight deadlines.
- Have knowledge of the Parcel Delivery Industry and E-Commerce and Online marketplace selling.
- Have a positive, 'can-do' attitude with a natural ability to provide excellent service in a team environment.
- Have a professional approach to team and client relationships.
- Have a passion for delivering great service while being an effective negotiator.
- Be able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent IT skills, experience in working with Word/Excel and PowerPoint.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, be professional, and customer service-oriented.
- Have a high attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
