About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Pro Talent. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, providing accounting, tax, and advisory services.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns.
  • Offer proactive advice to clients on tax planning, business strategy, and financial processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact.
  • Ensure all compliance deadlines are met for clients, including tax returns and statutory filings.
  • Review and supervise the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clients' financial processes and recommend value-added services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and legislation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver a comprehensive service to clients.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or QBE) with at least 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a range of accounting and tax services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management accounts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
