We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at First Recruitment Group - IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the control and supervision of electrical installation and maintenance activities on a high-profile site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all electrical installation and maintenance activities are properly supervised and compliant with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the electrical control and instrumentation installation on the site.
- Manage and coordinate electrical work with designers, engineers, and site personnel.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Minimum ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent through an approved apprenticeship (City & Guilds).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 trained, 18th Edition desirable.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Valid CSCS/ECS Card in the appropriate discipline (mandatory).
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Course (SSTSC).
- NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision.
- Minimum of 10 years in electrical work, with at least 5 years in a Foreman/Supervisor role.
- At least 3 years of on-site experience, preferably within the Nuclear Industry or Power Generation sector.
- Strong background in site installation and maintenance, with the ability to interpret and work to electrical diagrams and cable cards.
- Experience in highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Must have or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for on-site work.
- Excellent understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Regulations (BS7671).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to liaise effectively between designers, engineers, and site personnel.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to set an example in Health and Safety practices.
