Electrical Supervisor Job Description

At First Recruitment Group, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the control and supervision of the Electrical Control & Instrumentation installation on a high-profile site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electrical installation and maintenance activities are properly supervised and compliant with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians to ensure the successful completion of electrical installation and maintenance projects.
  • Develop and implement electrical installation and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and site personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electrical engineers and technicians to ensure the successful completion of electrical installation and maintenance projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent through an approved apprenticeship (City & Guilds).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 (17th Edition trained, 18th Edition desirable).
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Valid CSCS/ECS Card in the appropriate discipline (mandatory).
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Course (SSTSC).
  • NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision.
  • Minimum of 10 years in electrical work, with at least 5 years in a Foreman/Supervisor role.
  • At least 3 years of on-site experience, preferably within the Nuclear Industry or Power Generation sector.
  • Strong background in site installation and maintenance, with the ability to interpret and work to electrical diagrams and cable cards.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) for on-site work.
