Derby, Derby, United Kingdom Severn Trent Full time

About Severn Trent

We're Severn Trent, and we think water is wonderful. Our brilliant team members work across the heart of the UK, serving million households and businesses.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us learn and better serve our customers and communities.

The Role

We're looking for our next cohort of Schedulers to join our Workforce Planning & Optimisation team, a critical part of our Field and Contact Centre Operations. This role is an entry route into Severn Trent, allowing you to play a major part in the smooth day-to-day running of operations.

Responsibilities

As a Scheduler, you'll liaise with external suppliers, field managers, operatives, local planning authorities, and customers to schedule emergency and planned repair, renewal, and installation works. You'll manage our workflow, redistributing work as priorities and service levels change to meet customer and business needs.

You'll ensure we meet customer expectations and targets by managing real-time workflows against service levels and Key Performance Indicators. In this cohort, you'll be based at our Pride Park site, working within our strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who can support our team during core hours ( am – pm, Monday – Sunday). There's a mix of shift patterns, and we'd need your support over the weekend too. Being proactive and organised is essential, as you'll need to work to certain service levels to achieve our customer and company outcomes efficiently, correctly, and accurately.

Strong administration skills are essential as you'll be using our planning tool to prioritise and schedule work. Communication skills are key, as you'll be liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers to manage their expectations.

What's In It For You

Working here isn't just a job – you can build a career at Severn Trent. We'll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits, including days' holiday + bank holidays, an annual bonus scheme, a leading pension scheme, sharesave, dedicated training and development, electric vehicle scheme, family-friendly policies, and two volunteering days per year.
