Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Outpatient Receptionist & Call Centre Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, providing exceptional service to patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional front-of-house and telephone service to patients and visitors.
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced call centre environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls simultaneously.
  • Process paper reconciliation slips accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of data quality.
  • Input and update patient records on the Trust's PAS system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Arrange outpatient appointments in accordance with agreed booking rules, ensuring seamless communication with patients and clinical teams.

Requirements

  • GCSE standard education or equivalent.
  • Previous telephone experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with the general public, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate data input skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and flexible attitude.
