Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Wandsworth. As a Psychology Graduate, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge while gaining practical experience in supporting individuals with mental health or developmental challenges. The role offers invaluable experience working within the field of psychology, ideal for those looking to pursue careers in clinical psychology, counselling, educational psychology, or related fields.
Job Summary
- Initial Contract: November 2024 to the end of the academic year (extension opportunities available)
- Location: Mainstream and specialist settings in Wandsworth
- Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, paid weekly on a PAYE basis (£480 per week)
- We require you to have a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in Psychology
- You should have an interest in supporting individuals with mental health or developmental challenges
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting psychological assessments and interventions under supervision
- Assisting in research, data collection, and analysis for ongoing projects
- Working with individuals with various mental health, developmental, and emotional needs
- Contributing to creating and delivering support plans based on evidence-based practices
- Supporting multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic care
- Monitoring and recording client progress, providing feedback to senior professionals
- Participating in workshops and training to further develop professional skills
