Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in automated production facilities, with a strong background in training and mentoring. If you are a motivated and driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, this role could be ideal for you.

You will be responsible for delivering engineering best practice and excellence across our Maintenance Department. This includes ensuring preventative maintenance aligns with our program, accurately recording planned and breakdown activities, and creating detailed preventative maintenance instructions and critical spares lists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults on plant equipment/machinery.
  • Work with complex control systems, data communications, PLC systems (software and hardware) configuration and fault-finding, monitoring and editing PLC programs.
  • Update and maintain electrical drawings and documentation.
  • Oversee the sourcing, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment in liaison with the Projects Department.
  • Collaborate with production and Maintenance teams to address breakdowns, establishing and prioritising the best course of action to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Provide support and training to Maintenance Technicians.

Requirements:

  • Third Level Engineering Qualification.
  • Time Spent in Electrical/Mechanical Discipline.
  • Strong level of all-round Electrical/Mechanical Engineering knowledge, with at least 5 years' experience gained within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Root cause analysis & fault-finding experience on automated machinery & mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritising ability.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Possess a full current driving licence.
