We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric rotational scheme. This scheme offers the opportunity to gain a broad experience in Paediatrics through yearly rotations in the following areas:
- Acute/Musculoskeletal
- Pre-school Special Needs & Special Schools
- Schools Services (mainstream and special schools)
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist Physiotherapy services to children and young people with a variety of conditions within Harrow, both in the community and acute settings.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a specialist caseload of children with special needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate specialist treatment programmes
- Carry out risk assessments and implement recommendations
- Refer on to other services and professionals as appropriate
- Negotiate with children and young people's parents/carers and others around individual case management
- Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge of physical disabilities/mobility needs
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families. They will also have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for working in a dynamic and diverse team environment.
Requirements- Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience of working with children and young people with physical disabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
