Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Paediatric rotational scheme. This scheme offers the opportunity to gain a broad experience in Paediatrics through yearly rotations in the following areas:

  1. Acute/Musculoskeletal
  2. Pre-school Special Needs & Special Schools
  3. Schools Services (mainstream and special schools)

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist Physiotherapy services to children and young people with a variety of conditions within Harrow, both in the community and acute settings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a specialist caseload of children with special needs
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses
  3. Plan, deliver, and evaluate specialist treatment programmes
  4. Carry out risk assessments and implement recommendations
  5. Refer on to other services and professionals as appropriate
  6. Negotiate with children and young people's parents/carers and others around individual case management
  7. Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge of physical disabilities/mobility needs

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families. They will also have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for working in a dynamic and diverse team environment.

Requirements
  1. Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  3. Experience of working with children and young people with physical disabilities
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
