Pharmacy Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician - A Key Role in the Pharmacy Technical Services Department
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician to join the busy Pharmacy Technical Services Department at Cheltenham General Hospital. As part of a regional cancer centre, our Section 10 aseptic services unit prepares chemotherapy for patients from Gloucestershire and the surrounding area, including involvement in a variety of clinical trials.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Cleanroom supervision role, preparing cytotoxic intravenous additives, cytotoxic syringes, and adult Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) infusions using aseptic technique. They will also provide training and supervision to new staff members and assist in the training of new staff members.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualification and be registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council if appropriate. We would consider an experienced Band 4 Technician without PIPC with the potential to progress to Band 5 upon completion of PIPC training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleanroom supervision
