Job Summary:

RC Fornax is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the delivery of engineering projects and bids. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining project scope, managing project timelines, and ensuring seamless communication between engineering, project management, and other company departments.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering plans, adhering to project Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP).
  2. Develop and manage project deliverables, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  3. Oversee project data management, including design reviews, PDR, and CDR.
  4. Lead overall system design, ensuring alignment with project goals and company procedures.
  5. Manage design resources, ensuring efficient use of time and budget.
  6. Ensure team members adhere to company procedures and processes.
  7. Liaise with project managers to ensure effective project execution.
  8. Contribute to the continuous development of business processes and systems.
Requirements:
  1. Engineering degree in a relevant field.
  2. IEng membership of a relevant professional institution.
  3. Proven experience in a project engineer role.
  4. CEng or ability to achieve CEng within 3 years.
Preferred Skills:
  1. 3D CAD skills, preferably with SolidWorks.
  2. Knowledge of drawing standards, including BS 8888 and geometrical tolerancing.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  4. Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  5. Experience with drawing issue control using PDM and design of automotive systems.
  6. Structural analysis using first principles and FEA.
  7. Vehicle testing using data logging and instrumentation.
