Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team at BAM Nuttall. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile, long-term energy infrastructure project.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the project controls function in delivering timely and accurate project performance reporting. This will include cost and schedule tracking, development of the Project Control Execution Plan, and implementation of regular and ad hoc project control reports.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project controls function in delivering timely and accurate project performance reporting, including cost and schedule tracking.
  • Develop the Project Control Execution Plan, assimilating information from contract documentation, strategy, control systems and monitoring, project work breakdown structure, reporting calendar, responsibilities and training requirements.
  • Development and implementation of regular and ad hoc project control reports for management and other stakeholders, identifying project variances, future projections and corrective actions.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Controller or similar role on large-scale civil engineering or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management concepts, such as planning, and programming.
  • Familiarity with the NEC contract and FIDIC contract delivery procedures.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and scheduling data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working on long-term infrastructure projects and in managing the integration of cost and planning functions.
