Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a large SEN school in East London.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with severe learning difficulties, autism, and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working with pupils aged 3-19.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A strong understanding of special educational needs and how to support students with these needs.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  3. Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
  4. A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  5. An Enhanced DBS disclosure or willingness to apply for one.
