About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Wycombe Abbey, a prestigious independent school in High Wycombe. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the running of the kitchen, managing a team of chefs, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals for students and staff
* Manage a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service and food quality
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Work closely with the Executive Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and improve existing ones
* Act as a role model for the team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent in a busy kitchen environment
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
* A passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
