About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Research and Development team as a Summer Placement. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in collaborating with our engineers to develop and test car components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing on or off-site, including build and maintenance of test rigs and associated equipment
  • Ensure sensors are correctly calibrated prior to performing any tests
  • Complete test reports and test schedules for all tests undertaken
  • Operate test rigs and perform tests in a safe manner
  • Maintain test rigs and report any maintenance requirements
  • Assist with all activities undertaken in the R&D department
  • Liaise with other departments to carry out test work efficiently and correctly
  • Sign off pass-off test documentation for components and assemblies tested

About the Department:

The R&D department plays a crucial role in delivering car performance and working with various engineering teams to sign off car components. As a Summer Placement, you will have the opportunity to work with most departments within the Williams organisation and learn a variety of skills.
