Job Description

  • The Process Controls & Automation Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC and system faults, maintaining site drawings and schematics, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • The engineer will collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to achieve budgeted uptime and speeds while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
  2. Serve as the on-site expert for Process Controls & Automation, creating PLC programs, updating software, and managing faults to maintain high standards of equipment functionality.
  3. Manage or participate in individual and team projects aimed at production improvements and problem resolution.
Data & Documentation
  1. Maintain and document accurate system information within the CMMS, ensuring detailed fault history and resolution entries.
  2. Develop software backups and implement changes in response to updates or compliance needs.
Cross-functional Support
  1. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly.
  2. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to resolve issues impacting plant performance, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
