Main Responsibilities

As an integral part of the Property & Casualty Facultative Team, this role requires the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to incoming requests, managing the demands of both internal and external clients. Prioritisation, attention to detail and organisational skills are paramount.

Key Tasks
  • Pre-underwriting of Individual Risks including interpreting, analysing and inputting information supplied by our team of Underwriters and clients into the relevant underwriting database/s and rating tools, pre-filling underwriting notes, quotations and electronic files according to our various workflow procedures and underwriting guidelines.
  • Post-underwriting which involves processing reinsurance certificates and endorsements and monitoring along with follow up on account related outstanding tasks with clients.
  • Running renewal and other ad-hoc reports. Management of Programs & Facilities administration including bordereaux.
  • Manage client contact information and working with underwriters and clients regarding outstanding information and correspondence.
  • Assist underwriters and other internal units with account management including claims documentation and management/follow up of receivables and accounts.
Requirements
  • Experience in (re)insurance/underwriting industry is preferred but we are willing to train the successful candidate;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a sense of urgency;
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and operate various applications at once;
  • Ability to analyse, manipulate and organize complex data;
  • Strong mathematical, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Approachable and able to convey information, ideas and viewpoints in the appropriate tone and manner;
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn;
  • Knowledge of and a user of the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
