Clinical Specialist Nurse or Clinical Specialist Generic (AHP)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Nurse or Clinical Specialist Generic (AHP) to join our Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Service in North Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Allied Health Professional with significant community experience, able to build strong links with primary care colleagues and secondary care services to ensure effective pathways are in place.

The post holder will be responsible for providing training related to perinatal mental health for other disciplines and will be involved in the assessment, formulation, and planning processes of treatment.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that the successful candidate can travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

Requirements
  • Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator, or equivalent.
  • Trained in providing clinical supervision.
  • Evidence of training in clinical supervision of other staff and able to demonstrate competence in this area of practice.
  • Postgraduate diploma (or above) in a subject relevant to the area of practice or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years.
  • Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level, such as working as a band 6 (or above) in a relevant clinical area with significant experience, together with evidence of relevant CPD.
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk (harm to self, others, and safeguarding).
  • Involvement in quality improvement activities.
  • Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice.
