We are recruiting for a number of Part Time Qualified Social Worker roles within our Children's Services department at Worcestershire County Council.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of experienced social workers who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans, and providing support and guidance to ensure their well-being.

You will work closely with other professionals, including teachers, health visitors, and police officers, to provide a comprehensive service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social work values, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities, as well as regular supervision and support from experienced colleagues and managers.

Job Responsibilities

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Providing support and guidance to ensure the well-being of children and families
  • Working closely with other professionals to provide a comprehensive service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized qualification in social work (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work)
  • Experience of working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
