About the Company

Birmingham City Council, in partnership with Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, is recruiting for a qualified social worker to join their Hospital OPAL team. As a member of this team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality care to adult service users.

The Job Responsibilities

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, conducting initial assessments, and maintaining accurate records. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be comfortable picking up new and existing cases, and feel confident in safeguarding and mental capacity assessments.

Requirements

  • Able to work 35 hours per week over a 7-day period, including weekends and bank holiday work
  • Previous direct experience of delivering social work to adult service users
  • Knowledge of key legislation underpinning social work
