The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to lead our Acute Medicine team. As a key member of the Therapies department, you will be responsible for providing expert leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in our 5 acute medical wards, including our cardiac care unit and acute respiratory ward.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess and implement physiotherapy interventions, utilizing your knowledge and skills to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing clinical pathways, and in providing supervision, teaching, and appraisal to physiotherapists and other staff members.
This is a full-time position, with opportunities for flexible working and job sharing. You will be supported with yearly appraisals and dedicated CPD time, and will be involved in providing weekly in-service training and regular supervision to more junior staff.
Main Responsibilities- Provide skilled team leadership in planning and delivering physiotherapy services
- Take a major role in the advanced assessment and management of patients with complex presentations
- Work autonomously, adhering to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) regulations
- Undertake service reviews and audits to evaluate quality, efficiency, and outcomes
- Develop relationships with professional colleagues locally, regionally, and nationally to develop clinical pathways
- Supervise, teach, and appraise physiotherapists, non-qualified physiotherapy staff, and students to graduate level
- Degree in Physiotherapy

£45,753 to £52,067 per annum, including high cost area supplement
