College Operations Director

The University of the Arts London is seeking an experienced College Head of Operations to join our team on a full-time basis at Central Saint Martins. This is a high-profile role within the College and UAL, overseeing operational delivery and developing appropriate operational systems and processes.
The successful postholder will lead the operational culture of the College, developing, liaising, and fostering extensive and close working relationships with College and University senior management and professional teams. They will work collaboratively to develop and implement effective new service and operating models across the breadth of College activity and within the University.
The College Head of Operations will contribute to the long-term strategic organisational planning for the College, including strategic and operational input into the preparation of planning documentation, forecasting, budgets, and production of regular management information. They will also build and interpret models and data sets to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient delivery of College activities.
- Lead the operational culture of the College, fostering a collaborative and professional working environment.
- Work closely with College and University senior management and professional teams to develop and implement effective new service and operating models.
- Contribute to the long-term strategic organisational planning for the College, including strategic and operational input into planning documentation.
- Build and interpret models and data sets to inform decision-making and drive business improvement.
About You
The successful postholder will have significant relevant operations management experience, including staff management, financial forecasting, knowledge of business planning and business processes, and knowledge of creative arts and design. They will also have a passion to build an outstanding student and staff experience in which creativity thrives.
