About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diabetes Consultant to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of our endocrinology and diabetes service, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with diabetes and related conditions.

Our department has a strong reputation for excellence in patient care and research. We work closely with primary care to further develop diabetes care in the community and have a very active research portfolio involving clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies.

About the Job

We are looking for a consultant physician with extensive experience in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Internal Medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient care and contributing to the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients with diabetes and related conditions
  • Participate in the management of inpatients referred by other specialists within the hospital
  • Conduct specialist and general medical outpatient clinics
  • Close liaison with primary care to further develop diabetes care in the community
  • Teaching of medical students and doctors in training

About the Location

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership.
